It was established in 1901 in the city of Chicago, Illinois, and its current headquarters are located in the community of Deerfield, which is a suburb of Chicago.
According to the January 18 article “Walgreens and CVS Are Closing Locations, Starting Jan. 31”, the Walgreens location in the Noel State Bank building in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago will be closing soon, according to a report by ABC 7 Chicago.
The Wicker Park store is considered one of Walgreens’ flagship locations, typically found in high-traffic, high-profile areas and offering a more upscale shopping experience.
“We have made the difficult decision to close this location. There are a number of factors that we take into consideration including dynamics of the local market and changing buying habits of customers,” the statement read.
The store is expected to close on January 31.
